Curiosity is the reason for all questions and theories in life, and science is an attempt to
provide an explanation for all things possible. The website, I Freaking Love Science or IFL
Science, is a socially appealing website that dishes out latest science breakthroughs and
discoveries.
The IFLScience website provides a very simple organizational layout that lets the user
navigate the site with little to no difficulty. The science categories are on the left hand side and
are very easy to use without any confusion. They are very specific and clear about what is in that
category, for example if the user is interested in Environmental science there is an option that
categorizes that. The information provided is very accurate and appealing to the usual reader,
like myself. If the website uses information from another source within its articles, it is made
sure that it is introduced in the article and stated in resources section at the end of each post. The
website is updated on a daily basis where a new article is posted everyday. If the user wanted to
look at older posts there is a clear and signified option for it. When pulling up the website the
colors are complementive of each other and are visually appealing to the eye. Even if the user
isn't much of a science person, the information usually provides information about the topic it is
introducing. The website is a very useful source to to update you on what's going on in the
science world today. Although the website is based on current science events and breaking
discoveries, it utilizes very simple diction and very socially acceptable language to understand.
Overall the website is very socially appealing to many people, over 18 million users on Facebook
follow IFLS showing that it is a very well known and popular website to feed your science
needs. The website is very fluid and simple for almost anyone to use regardless if someone is actively involved in science discoveries or someone that is simply curious. I personally visit the
website on a daily basis and the website never fails to update the site with a new post.and new
information.
