It is said that music is the voice of
the soul and the completion of life. That is why I can say a person very well
known for giving such amazing music of all time was Michael Jackson, also known
as the King of Pop. He is well credited for inspiring many artist this day that
have looked up to him in becoming better at their talent. Not only did he have
the best music of all time, but he was also one of the world’s very best
dancers. He is credited with creating his signature move, the Moonwalk, which is a move
many dancers have imitated. Although there are many talented artist in the
world, there will never be another Michael Jackson. His talent was so unique and
genius. He was one in a million, which many fans, friends,
and many other performers have said before. Nevertheless behind the curtains, his talent and fame came with a price to pay.
The following
review will consist of specific criteria about how Michael Jackson had become
to be one of the greatest artist of all time, including the struggles he went
through as a child and creating his fame, along with the reasoning to why he
had lived his life in a certain way that had caused people to judge him.
Michael Jackson was born on August 23, 1958 in
Gary, Indiana and was the 7th child out of 9 children. He was only 4
years old when his father Joseph Jackson put him to perform with his brothers. He stated
very clearly in his interviews that he enjoyed performing with his brothers as a
child. As his father started pushing Michael and his brothers to being known, it
soon had turned into a job as he stated. Michael then started to explain in his
interviewer that as a child. he was never allowed to go out and play like many
other children did, and he was always spending his whole day working until the
morning in the studio with his brothers. Therefore, from always working hard as
a child to be a great performer, he stated that he never got the chance to live a
childhood. Not only did he feel like his childhood was taken away from, him but
was also never really happy. Michael’s father teased him very often about his
nose and he would get abused every time his performance was never what his
father expected, which affected him in many certain levels. Michael explained
that he wasn’t confident with himself due to the fact his father always
teased him. Michael then got his nose surgeries which he was never really
satisfied with. Although his father was very hard on Michael it helped become what
he was from all the discipline his father put on him.
Later then as Michael go
older he went his own separate way on going solo. Michael was already the main
center of attention out of the Jackson 5, he was always the very special one.
After Michael went solo some of his biggest hits of all time were Thriller:
1989, Bad: 1983 and Beat it, Billie Jean: 1983. Those were only some of his
greatest hits, his songs made millions of dollars and the ratings would just go
right off the board. Even after he went solo he stated that he still worked very hard
for hours trying to make a song right, and he wouldn’t quit until he heard the
song like he visioned it would be. Michael dedicated himself entirely to his music
and on his free time he would the do the things he enjoyed right at his home in
Neverland. Neverland was the place where he would escape and he explained that
it was the place where he was able to live the childhood he missed out on. He
then explained that Neverland was the place that made him the happiest and it
was where he mostly created his music. He had a very difficult life, yet he is known
to have being one of the world’s biggest star in the world and very successful.
The
reason to have chosen Michael Jackson was because Michael is a great example of
inspiration. He was a very talented and successful human being. I also think it
was a great review to talk about because there is much be said about him. Like
many other artist Michael Jackson's life was very difficult, which is very
interesting to hear about because you would think that a person so successful
has the best life ever, which really nothing is really known when they are
behind doors.
