Take a trip down to the 1950’s when you set foot in Johnny Rockets. In this 50’s themed restaurant made in the 1980’s, experience
exquisite variety of burgers, sandwiches, shakes, etc. all while enjoying a
nostalgic atmosphere. With great music ranging from Elvis’s single Hound Dog to
Chuck Berry’s famous Johnny B Goode. In accompany to it’s warm welcoming service,
Johnny Rockets is really one restaurant enjoyed by the whole family all while
making for an all new dining experience.
Every time I
have ever head over to the AMC theater in the Westgate Entertainment District
(Near the Phoenix Stadium) it’s always one of my favorite things to stop at
Johnny Rocket with my family or friends for a bite to eat after a movie or
before one, especially since they do offer great movie deals like discounted
ticket prices at AMC when you buy a meal, making you feel like a winner every
time you grab a bite to eat and then head over to watch the latest
blockbuster. It really makes anyone’s
movie experience greater and it does beat buying the overpriced snacks at the
movie snack bar that usually makes you feel ripped-off and unhappy with the
theater.
I have based
my review on three factors: the quality of the food, customer service and the atmosphere because it really does sum up a person's expectations whenever they
head over to any type of restaurant,
because who really wants to head over to a restaurant with stomach-turning
taste of food, horrible service and noisy, dirty surrounding.
The quality
of the food can always be expected to be
great; there is so much to experience in the menu like the chili-fries, their
Philly cheese stakes, and their fantastic burgers all washed down with their
free-refills fountain drinks or their delicious milkshakes with many other
items in stock. All great choices and most will never leave you unsatisfied.
The menu is also family friendly featuring a kids menus. It also offers a
healthier alternative to those watching their figures or just those light-in-the-stomach customers with soy burgers and salads, all while staying in the
same price range as the other options, something you wouldn’t expect in a burger
restaurant like Burger King, as well as the fact that most items will leave you
stuffed, allowing a great dining experience for just anyone. The prices itself
aren’t that bad either from menu items ranging from 8 to 13 dollars, but like once
stated, most items will make you feel satisfied as well as full. So I would say
it worth the price in my opinion.
Based on my
experience the customer service always ranges based on when you go. Usually you
can expect slow service on nights where the place is packed but it usually depends on which one you go to
and at what time. However, the waiters are always being friendly and helpful
when ever you pay a visit, from asking if you desire a refill to asking if you
want anything else. However, on full nights, expect to wait a while before
receiving any type of service. That is one of the few things I do not like and
would suggest them to fix by just hiring more employees.
Finally, I
can not express how much I love the atmosphere of the restaurant; you really do
feel like you are eating in a fifties diner with the employee uniforms,
advertisement and decorations on the walls, the booths to the jukebox all
surrounding you. You would really have a nice time dining whether if your with
friends, family etc. It’s a really great dining experience to enjoy with
anyone. I for one have always left happy and ready to enjoy other activities
with my friends.
My final
verdict to Johnny Rockets is an 9 out of 10, its has always been one of my
favorite restaurants to go to ever since I have been introduced to that place.
Its almost like a restaurant preserved in time, making you really feel like your
having a 50’s dining experience (other than the prices). Its certainly a place I would recommend
anyone to go to once in their lives. It really is a much better choice over
McDonalds when craving a burger and such, especially if you're in Arrowhead Mall
or in the AMC theater previously discussed and just wanting a great dining
experience.
